Starter Set Viking - Women

The Starter Set Viking Women combines the essential garments of early medieval women's dress rooted in the textile tradition of Haithabu. The foundation is the Under Dress Freya, cut after undergarment finds from the Haithabu excavations in a sturdy, unkempt cotton with a linen-like structure - comfortable against the skin yet convincingly authentic in texture. It holds its own worn alone with a belt in warmer months, or as a reliable base layer when the temperature drops. Over it goes the Over Dress Haithabu, a side-laced Viking dress in the same coarse, robust cotton that allows for a flexible, adjustable fit. The open, airy cut is designed to be layered - together the two dresses work as a complete, historically grounded outfit that can be further accented with belts and brooches.

As an optional addition, the Head Scarfs Marianne round off the look with two triangular scarves - one in brown, one in natural white - that can be tied in multiple ways and combine easily with any outfit.
