Materials
Description
On often muddy medieval trade routes a traveler had to brave many obstacles. A cloak like this one helped to keep the biting wind and rain at bay.
On the upper lapel of the cloak are two loops for attaching a spiral brooch as well as two cloth ribbons for tying.
The sizes refer to a length to the ankle or lower calf.
The cape is made of a heavy wool felt material which gives it a very authentic appearance.

HOW ARE PRODUCTS SHIPPED?

Orders placed after 1:00 pm EST will generally be shipped out on the following day with the exception of orders placed on a Friday. CANCELLATIONS
In-stock orders: Orders are authorized and processed in real-time, so canceling an in-stock order is very difficult. If you need to cancel, please contact Customer Service by email HERE as soon as possible after the order has been placed. If the order has already been processed, you will need to follow the Returns process to return the product for a refund.
Return policy
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Effective Date: March 2017
Burgschneider will accept returns for items purchased on the Burgschneider online store that are received back within 120 days from the delivery date for a refund. Returns received after 120 days from the delivery date will not be accepted. We do not make exchanges. You may return for a refund and place a new order for the item, size, and color of your choice. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable.
All returns MUST meet the following criteria:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- No scents or odors
- No rips or tears
- No other signs of being worn
- All tags must be attached
- All original packaging must be included
- No COD (Cash/Check on Delivery) packages will be accepted
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SHIPMENT IS REFUSED/CANNOT BE DELIVERED?
Shipped items that are either refused by the customer or cannot be delivered by the carrier, will be returned to Burgschneider and the customer will be credited for the product cost and tax, less shipping and handling. The customer will be required to place a new order and will be responsible for any associated shipping charges.
HOW DO I UPDATE MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION?
If you are a returning customer, you can easily update your information by logging into your account. You will find the "My Account" link located at the top of each page. Once you have accessed your account, you can click on the "Account Information" link to update your account information.
RETURN PROCESS
Step 1: Send an email to online@burgschneider.com with the order receipt.

I ordered this because I saw a mention of it on a youtube video, while looking for wool cloaks.
It got delivered perfectly in time for a cold weather snap, a freeze, and actual snow, which is not my normal winter weather. It’s perfect. Worn over my winter outfit, it kept me warm in freezing weather for over four hours, probably could have gone longer, but I got tired of trudging through ice, snow, and slush!
It also doubles as a blanket on smaller beds. Nice and cozy!
